Greetings from the Spacecoast Freewheelers!
Welcome to our small home on the web. Our members live all along the beautiful Spacecoast and our group rides range over much of east central Florida. The rides are casual in nature with occasional intervals and vary in length from 30 to 60 miles. No one is ever dropped and sometimes we end with a stop at the local watering hole for food and drink. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned vet looking for a group to ride with all are welcomed. Just be ready to make some new friends. We do hope you enjoy your visit to our web site and that you come ride with us soon.
Watch out for the 37th Space Coast Marathon
On Sunday, November 30th the Space Coast Marathon will be taking place up and down River Road in the Cocoa and Rockledge area starting in Cocoa Village. It'd be wise for everyone concerned with 1500 runners participating to please try and avoid this area while out on your Sunday rides. Come over and join the club in Merritt Island for our ride if you'd like. Good Luck to all you runners in the club!
1st Annual Christmas Light "D" Ride
Want to get in the holiday spirit while on your bike?
We'll be having a Christmas Light ride along River Road on Saturday, December 13th starting from Taylor Park in Cocoa Village (at the corner of Harrison and Delannoy). Plan is to meet at 6:00PM and ride south along the river and back for a total of 14 miles while enjoying the Christmas light show. Be sure to bring a bike light and decorate yourself and your bike. All skill levels are welcome; this we promise will be a SLOW social ride.
Bicycle Advocacy Meeting
Revolutions Cyclery in Melbourne will be hosting a bicycle advocacy meeting with guest speaker Bruce Landis of Sprinkle Consulting, Inc. on Tuesday, November 25th at 7:00pm.

Come on out for our C rides
We now have a C level ride scheduled every Saturday @ 9:00am. The weather has been great lately so get on that bike and come on out for a nice leisurely ride along beautiful River Road through Rockledge and Cocoa. The pace of these rides will be somewhat slower than our regular group rides, between 12-17mph. So this will be a perfect way for beginners to introduce themselves to the dynamics of riding in a group. And a nice social recovery ride for the roadies out there. Optionally, after the ride we like to get together in Cocoa Village for some coffee. See you all there!
